The Sustainable Winter Management (SWiM)® system provides professional grounds managers a tremendous forward thinking opportunity to a better way for performing their snow and ice management operations, saving money, reducing risk, and protecting the environment by significantly reducing salt use.

Speaker Bio:
Phill Sexton is Managing Director for WIT Advisers, who administer the Sustainable Winter Management (SWiM)® system guidelines and certifications and WIT Collaborate (Co-Op). Phill is a Professor (Adjunct) at the Center of Agriculture and Natural Resources of the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cobleskill, where he teaches the school's landscape firm management course and co-developed the first college accredited snow management curriculum in North America.
Phill's education includes degrees in agriculture, horticulture, business management and economics from the State University of NY (SUNY) and a master's degree in Sustainability and Environmental Management from Harvard University with a focus on corporate innovation and sustainability. His thesis research A Sustainability Analysis of the Commercial Winter Management Industry's Use of Salt – is available to download from Harvard Library.
