  • “Book your hotel rooms today. Seriously,”

Equip Expo 2023, celebrating its 40th anniversary, announces housing is officially open. Show organizers stress the urgency around booking hotel rooms. The event, held October 17-20, 2023 at the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), will likely sell out its exhibit space—and so will the area’s hotels. Louisville Tourism is the official housing provider for Equip Expo.

“Book your hotel rooms today. Seriously,” says Kris Kiser, President of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute, which owns and manages the trade show. “Last year, we had a record, sell-out show with a long waiting list. Given this year is our 40th anniversary, we’re expecting another record breaker in attendance and exhibit space bookings.”

In addition to the KEC’s 30 acre Outdoor Demo Yard, expansive indoor exhibit space, downtown Louisville will be “a happening place for Expo this year,” says Kiser. “Downtown hotels, in particular, will fill up within weeks.”

New events for this year’s show include major downtown events, including:

    • A new arena concert at the Yum! Center featuring headline band, Third Eye Blind.
    • A Welcome Party at the downtown Kentucky International Convention Center (adjacent to the downtown Marriott and Hyatt hotels) with a concert from Expo house band, The Crashers.

“We’re going to have another banner year. We’re already fielding more than 60 exhibitor expansion requests, and the KEC halls are full,” says Kiser. For the first time ever, the show is expanding into the West Wing of the KEC.

“So let me say it again,” he adds. “Reserve your hotel room. Today.”

Last year, Equip Expo attracted more than 25,000 attendees who hailed from all 50 states and 49 countries, with the furthest traveling attendees journeying from Guam, New Zealand and Australia. The show brings over $20 million in revenue to Louisville, and books more than 32,000 hotel rooms during show week.

Registration opens for Equip Exposition 2023 in April. Hardscape North America continues to co-locate with the show. Visit www.equipexposition.com for more details.
